About

Francesco Zorzella works with painting and sculpture.

He has developed an original and personal technique to transform elements of the everyday life.

The images of the magazines contain ink, colors, forms in endless combinations; they contain the seed of what painting is. Francesco examines a large number of magazines, carefully choosing the images that most inspire him. He then process and recreate those images with thinner and oil colors. The painting, as an archaeological excavation, brings to light the sediments of the consumer era that we're experiencing. Among these ruins, animal, vegetable and mineral organisms are melted together to create new pictorial entities.
